Anthony B says be "Done Wit War"

New Anthony B single. One of my favorite artists, I had the pleasure of meeting him last year. Very humble and very talented. Love this song. get it.

More Jahdan Blakkamoore...BAZOOKA SHOT!

New mixtape by Bootcamp & Noble Society affiliate, Jahdan Blakkamoore. It's called Bazooka Shot. Truthfully I haven't even heard it yet but I'm posting it with confidence that it's dope. I'll give my two cents once i've heard it. get it.

edit: Didn't like the first few songs so I was worried but starting @ Turn The Other Way it picks up. I had no idea he was also a rapper. The Noble Society mixtape was strictly reggae. Nonetheless the music Jahdan offers is good for the most part. He sometimes tries too hard to cater to the mainstream but when he goes off on his own tangent he nails it. Enjoy.

Jahdan Welcomes You To The "Golden City"

Wicked people keep out...

I saw Jahdan Blakkamoore perform about year ago in Brooklyn. He was on the bill with Bootcamp and some other acts. He stood out to me though. I even copped a Noble Society cd from him that he was featured on. More recently he has been featured on the compilation album Culture Dem 3 released by Lustre Kings with the song "Golden City". He reminds me why I bout his cd. Dude is really talented. get it.

Put Another Fire Pon Babylon City

Michael Rose song I heard the other night when I went out for my friend's birthday. I went on a search and after a few days I finally found it. A definite boom chune! Song called "Babylon City" and was released in 2003 on the College Rock Riddim (if i'm not mistaken). get it.

Queen Ifrica Has A Simple Message For Police

"Serve & Protect" (Riddim of the same name). The song really speaks for itself. Queen Ifrica is a top notch lyricist, deejay, singjay, and artist. On this track she declares that the police force 'needs cpr' and a new outlook on how they practice enforcing the law. Boom tune. get it.

Flippa Mafia vs. Elephant Man

Well since trying to attack Bounty Killer hasn't worked in Flippa Mafia's favor he has moved on to a new target...Elephant Man. I don't know what has possessed this guy to try and clash such talented deejays when he sux so bad but in all of his hype he's been entertaining and has awaken the sleeping giant that is Elephant Man! Elephant Man was at one point in the early part of this decade, my favorite deejay. Then he got lost in making dancing tunes to the point where every song was telling you where to put your foot and how to snap your hand and I just grew weary and stopped checking for him like that. Elephant Man's responses to Flippa (oh yes this has already reached 2 rounds lol) are tough and Flippa does a good job of drawing him out with his fuckery (He basically calls Elephant Man a dead beat dad and rae). Elephant Man is clearly in the lead in my opinon. But you get to be the judge.

ROUND ONE

Flippa Mafia - Who Me
(get it)
Elephant Man - People
(get it)

ROUND TWO

Flippa Mafia - Talk Di Truth
(get it)
Elephant Man - Informa
(get it)

We Nuh Join Dem...

"We Nuh Join Dem" is One of my favorite Sizzla tracks. It's not new I think this dropped as early as January of this year. I think on this song he's addressing the whole signing of the "Compassion Act" which was a document that stated that any artist who signed would be promising to stop singing anti-homosexual lyrics. It was said that he among others had signed the Act. Whether he signed it or not really doesn't matter to me. He just needs to keep making good music such as this. Sizzla at his finest. get it.

Brace Yourself. Turbulence & No Barriers Ahead.

Sizzla protege Turbulence with a nice tune over the Global Riddim called "No Barriers". get it.

Merciless Reps For The Country Side

Known for being the only deejay to really take it to Bounty Killer, Merciless hasn't really been in the spotlight in years since the clash. He resurfaces to give his take on the whole Gully vs Gaza thing. As people all around are screaming GAZA MI SEH! or GULLY MI SEH! in support of either Portmore Empire or Alliance (respectively) Merciless screams A COUNTRY MI SEH!! Only have video for now. Hope to get the mp3 soon. Check it...

No Cocaine

Boom tune from Alborosie off his new album Escape From Babylon call "No Cocaine". get it.

Time For A "Paradise Redemption"

This is a Jamaican "We Are The World" of sorts. Tarrus Riley, Duane Stephanson, Lady G, Barbee & Macka Diamond sing for a better Jamaica and plea for a new day on the song "Paradise Redemption". I thought it would be cheesy by the line up and concept but it's a really nice song. get it.

Sizzla Declares World War III On Informers

New Sizzla on the World War III Riddim. This reminds me of 2004 Sizzla RIGHT at his creative peak before he went over board. I'm so glad to have him back. He seems focused this year!! Tune call "War On Informer" get it.

Tarrus Riley plays "Superman"

This song "Superman" is getting a lot of play on mixtapes and radio. Off of Tarrus Riley's new album Contagious. get it.

Chezidek Let's His Conscience Speak...

Chezidek sings "Conscience Speaks", one of my favorite songs from his new album Herbalist. get it.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully it will be up and running sometime today. If not I will definitely replace all the links. Thank you for visiting Jah's Kingdom!!

Aidonia Sets A Deadly Trap

New tune from Aidonia. Yow, this guy is a beast when he really wants to be. I hope he continues to release solid tunes like this 'cause I'll be honest I didn't always enjoy Aidonia's music. His rapid fire deliver coupled with the boring riddims of a couple of years passed really didn't move me. I ignored him after a while. This year I started paying attention again. With songs like "Grab Har Nuh" (Cobba Cobba Riddim) and "Buss It" (Sixteen Riddim) he won me over and now I always check for him. Every once in a while he'll drop a song I don't like but then he'll release something crazy like "Death Trap". Easily one of the best dancehall tracks I've heard this year. get it.

Face It! Bugle Naah Accept It!

Fairly new Bugle tune over the School Bell Riddim which is a relick of the Ting-A-Ling riddim that Shabba Ranks made famous. Check it, it's called "Naah Accept It". get it.

Vybz Kartel Answers Back The Warlord & Fails!

Not even worthy of an MP3 link but please take a pre and laugh with me at this clown. He could have done much better than thise. I've heard songs from him that are more hard hitting. You can't go up against Bounty Killer with this bullshit. I'm sorry.

Damian Marley "Holiday"

A BOOM TUNE
Junior Gong flexes his lyrical dexterity and explains the significance of holidays in a way only he can, on his new song Holiday

get it.

Adonia - Guard Ring

I don't know when it became cool to be 'Evil' but apparently Aidonia is calling himself Lord Evil now. Hope this phase phases out of dancehall. Its bad enough that
Vybz Kartel calls himself Hell Boy. Anyway this track is tuff tho lol.

get it.

Mad Dog & Vybz Kartel - Outta Mi Spinnas; Bounty Killer - Ungrateful Hellboy (Kartel DIss)

I said I wouldn't post no Empire shit unless it was good. This might be my favorite song as of right now!! And for me Mad Dogg steals the show. Vybz comes with his usualnice lyrics but his delivery doesn't stand up to Mad Dogg's in my opinion. I don't carewhat anybody says. The track is called Outta Mi Spinnas.

get it.

I'm still waiting for Kartel to answer Bounty Killer back. As a matter of fact I might as well combine entries. Seems Bounty Killer is really vexed.
Yesterday I posted his joint Chattabox. Today he has released the track Ungrateful Hellboy

get it
.

NO MAN PROBLEM!!!

New Macka Diamond. I love it!! On the Cheese Trix Riddim. Tune called Man Problem. One of my favorite deejays, she always manages to make me laugh too 'cause she just seem like somebody auntie goin off ona riddim lol anyway enjoy.

Hot Hot!! (Sixteen Riddim)

The youngest member of The Alliance A. Dadda teams up with legendary cultural reggae artist Mykal Rose (or Michael Rose. it seems he switched up recently) for Hot Hot over one of this years biggest riddim's the Sixteen Riddm produced by Deseca

get it.

Speaking of Alliance vs Portmore Empire: Bounty Finally Answer's Kartel

The whole thing started when Bounty Killer gave a young man a chance. For years during the early 2000's Vybz Kartel rolled with Bounty Killer's camp. I don't remember the details but in 2007 things went sour between the two and also between Vybz Kartel and Bounty Killer protege Mavado and Kartel went on to carve his own path and eventually forming Portmore Empire. From that time on Kartel and his artists have been sending disses towards Bounty Killer and his Alliance. Alliance members such as Mavado (who clashed Kartel @ Sting '08 and lost) and other lesser known deejays like Prince Pin & Stein (formallly Einstein) have addressed Kartel and the beef. People have been wondering when will the Warlord counteract his son Addi da Teacha?

Well dancehall fans, the time has come. The Warlord showed up in full form for this one. If anything the riddim is a lil iffy but Bounty murders it anyhow. It's called Chattabox. TAKE A PRE

get it.

Assailant - Crazy (Empire Diss)

Brutal Conflict riddim. Not even going to front. I am biased towards the Alliance (Bounty Killer and his team which includes Mavado, Busy Signal, Serani & Assailant among others) but that's strictly because they make better music than Kartel and his Portmore Empire (Also referred to as the Gaza Strip or Gaza) Kartel is their only hope and he's basically just carrying a bunch of talentless people around with him. It's cool to help people but gosh. Anyway for that reason alone you probably won't hear too much Portmore Empire music on this site unless it's REALLY GOOD.

All that being said I don't even see how this is an Empire diss but that's what it's labeled as lol. Whatever the track is dope. Dude's delivery is tough on this.

get it.

I-Wayne aks "What Will The People Do"

New I-Wayne on the "Relationship Riddim". He's one of my favorite artists. This song shows his abilities as a singjay, lyrics, melody and flow come together very nicely. And of course he burns all wickedness on the song as usual...

get it.

Sizzla says "Be A Star"

Sizzla cyan done. Really no other way to say it. He had his moments of faltering; moments that actually added up to a few years but I forgive him lol This song on the Brutal Conflict riddim is crazy. He pleads with the ghetto youth to "cut the crap" and reach the top. His delivery is really like none other. This year he continues to remind
me why I love his music so much. This track is no different. Take a listen.

get it.

BALANCE!!

So the blog I was posting dancehall for folded (big up Tameka, big respect) and I've been wanting to fill the void for a minute. I obviously fell off with the Jah Kingdom Come mixes but I haven't given up on it lol. Be sure to keep checking back, I will have a new mix soon. I've been trying to concentrate on my site http://tambourdafrique.blogspot.com which show cases Congolese music (big up my mother and ancestors and family) and kinda lost track of this site int he process. But anyway
i'm going to be updating this site more regularly since I have the time. Probably
will wind up posting songs I like rather than whole riddims. Anyway! things are moving. Catch the wave...
